About Me
| Quick Bio |
From an early age, always liked to draw cars. Started making money as a teenager, striping and lettering cars… inspired initially by a “little book” article about Von Dutch. Moved on to working in a custom body shop while still in my teens but soon realized – I couldn’t build all the ideas I had floating around in my head. Turned back to drawing as a faster and cheaper way to fulfill the creative dreams. Been with the “cheaper method” ever since. Seems to be working. |
| Tools of the Trade |
Unplugged – pencils, rapidograph, markers, pastels, air brush and gouache. Plugged – Hot rodded Mac G-3 (dual monitors – 21″ & 17″) using Painter 5 and OS 8.1 and, an Intel iMac 24″ using Painter 10 and OS 10.5.8. Wacom tablets only, since 1994. |
| Influences and Inspiration |
Sequentially: My Father Ordell, Kenny Howard, Larry Evans, Tom Daniel, Tom Davison, Harry Bradley, Ken Dallison, Barron Storey and Jim Sharpe. The outstanding talent on the Motorburg site, continues to give me pause for thought. |
