About Me
| Quick Bio |
Born and raised on Maryland’s beautiful Eastern Shore to artistic parents. My Dad was a Civil Engineer by day, and a master watercolor painter and sign-painter by night. Before college, I was a composites fabricator developing advanced defense aircraft. In 1998, I graduated from Art Center College of Design with a B.S. in Transportation Design. I have lived in the Detroit area since 1999 designing automotive interiors for OEMs around the world. Over the last ten years, I have not done much personal art, but the HAMB and Motorburg have helped re-ignite my passion for my own creativity. I thank the organizers and moderators for such a wonderful site and I hope that I can be of some help to the members here from time to time, |
| Tools of the Trade |
Pencil, Pen, Chisel-point, Prismacolor, Markers, Gouache, Acrylic, Clay, Photoshop and I’m trying to learn Illustrator and Alias 14. Two years ago, I built my own dual-core PC with a Nvidia Quadro FX 3700 with two (dual-view setup) 22″ Dell monitors and a single 15″ Samsung monitor/tv to distract me from my work. I use a 9″X12″ Wacom stylus and I’m considering a Cintiq but their 21″ is $2000 clams-Ouch! On the paint side, I use Winsor-Newton gouache exclusively on heavy cold-press board; I’m experimenting with acrylics and I’m open to suggestions as to who makes the best. |

Thanks to all of the HAMB members who suggested I join up here. I have been lurking since Christmas and I am really impressed with what this community is and what it can become. I just hope I can be of some help to the members here from time to time.
